We’ve talked with dozens of business owners this week who have mentioned that business has been improving lately. These business owners have used merchant cash advances to get through what they described as “tough times,” and now have renewed hope that their businesses are going to survive, and even flourish. I’m not sure if insight from the Merchant Cash Advance industry can be turned to as an early indicator that a stronger economy is emerging, but after the last few years, any good news coming out of the small business sector is something to be celebrated.

It also got me thinking: what are the top 10 signs that your business is getting better?

10. Your landlord gives you a hug every time you see him, sometimes with tears in their eyes
9. You sleep more than half has much as you work
8. You have a review on Yelp from somebody you don’t even know
7. You actually order something that’s not on the Dollar Menu
6. You decide your nightly deposit can wait til tomorrow for a reason other than it’s so small
5. You consider taking your first vacation in 2 years
4. New customers now outnumber the regulars
3. You start thinking of how you could expand into the empty space next to you
2. Your competition drops by to see if you are hiring

And the number-one sign you know your business is getting better:
1. You start thinking of how you can use Fastpoint funds to grow your business

(I admit that last one may be a little self-serving, so I invite you to share your own below.)

Important: A Merchant Cash Advance is not a consumer loan product. Only merchants with a credit card processing account apply for a Merchant Cash Advance through Fastpoint.
